Description [ ]
Jungles are very forested, rivaling the dark forests in tree density. Many of grass blocks have grass and ferns. Unmarried shoots of bamboo may generate on the flooring too. Jungle trees can abound tall and are the tallest trees in the game, with the tallest of them existence well over 30 blocks in height. Large and "airship" oak trees may also grow inside the tall jungle trees, and jungle bushes made of oak leaves[ Java Edition simply ] [1] or jungle leaves[ Bedrock Edition only ] and a single log abound on the floor of the jungle, which frequently obstruct view of the light-dark-green grass below. Many of the leaves and logs of both types are covered in vines. Jungles contain varying terrain, from the typical dumbo foliage of the main jungle biomes to the grassy meadows that class in sparse jungle biomes.
Cocoa pods and melons generate on jungle logs and in patches on the footing, respectively. Melon patches generate somewhat more often than pumpkin patches practice in other biomes.
The parrot, ocelot and panda mobs exclusively spawn in jungle biomes (and chickens spawn at higher rates compared to other biomes.[ Coffee Edition only ])
A jungle pyramid may generate within the leafage. Equally these temples are partially made of mossy cobblestone and as well covered in vines, they tin can prove hard to spot from a distance due to the density of the copse. Jungles tin can generate in most terrain types, from flat areas nearly sea level to elevated slopes beneath stony peaks.
Survival in jungles can be hard. While running out of logs is unlikely, obtaining logs can present a challenge due to the heights of jungle trees. Jungle trees are significantly less sustainable compared to other copse, as their leaves drop saplings only 2.5% of the time, compared to 5% for all other trees; this ways big jungle copse oftentimes drop only enough saplings to regrow them and not constitute any new trees, while small jungle trees may not fifty-fifty drop a single sapling. The dumbo, foliage tin easily go a player lost without some sort of trail marking, such as torches, and immigration this maze-similar leafage for shelter is no piece of cake chore, due to both the heights information technology can accomplish and the sheer amount of it. Withal, parrots can make for useful pets when tamed; ocelots cannot exist tamed, but tin can gain trust. They can repel creepers, while parrots can alarm players of nearby monsters. Cocoa beans and melons can likewise be farmed for dye, nutrient, trading and ornamentation.
Jungle biomes are significantly more resource-demanding to load and return compared to other biomes. Thus, players exploring in jungles may wish to turn downwardly their graphics settings to avoid lag and FPS drops.[two]The frequency of large jungle trees generated in Boulder Edition is lower than in Java Edition.
In jungles, cod and salmon are the merely fish which may be caught during angling in Bedrock Edition. Otherwise, bamboo and cocoa beans tin can likewise be collected.
Variants [ ]
There are three jungle biome variants: jungle, thin jungle and bamboo jungle. At that place are four removed variants: jungle hills, modified jungle, modified jungle edge and bamboo jungle hills in previous versions.
Jungle [ ]
The standard biome variant feature ferns, the distinctive large jungle copse and dense foliage across the ground. Jungle pyramids may generate in this biome, and ocelots, parrots and pandas may spawn here.

The grass nevertheless takes on a vivid greenish color, though slightly less vibrant than the principal jungle. Ocelots, parrots and pandas may spawn in this biome[ Boulder Edition only ], only jungle pyramids do not generate hither.[3]

Bamboo Jungle [ ]
"Bamboo Jungle" redirects hither. For the found, see Bamboo.
The bamboo jungle generates in large patches inside regular jungles. Trees are much less dense in this variant than in the main jungle, comparable to the thin jungle, but boasts countless amounts of bamboo across its landscape. Some swaths of grass blocks are replaced with podzol, similarly to old growth taigas. Naturally-generated trees are large variants; only 2×2 jungle copse and large, branching oak trees may generate, though many of the oaks are just small "balloon" oaks. Trees planted and grown by the player can be any size. All jungle-sectional mobs spawn here. Pandas have a higher spawn rate in bamboo jungle than in regular jungle. Jungle pyramids may spawn here in Coffee Edition, whereas at that place are no jungle pyramids in Bedrock Edition.
